You cannot speed or slow time with Magic.
yeah its true, but in other hand still a mystery why would somebody use roses for time perception ?
Maybe not time itself, but maybe it's for your time perception? Not trying to contradict with you guys.
You can affect your perception of how time passes, you cannot affect the speed in which time passes. If you wished to use this to cast an illusion, it might work. However, this spell claims you are changing the actual speed time passes, hence my comment.
Yeah if you want to speed things up here's something you can try it's called inventing a time machine

This spell may not make time faster or slower but it will make an illusion of time speeding up.
The only way to manipulate time is speed it up or slow it down in your mind, but it doesn't manipulate real life time
